DID YOU KNOW that STA Parish has two fully equipped
AED’s (Automated External Defibrillators) – one in the
Church (office in the narthex), and one in the Parish Center (gym)?

On June 15 we were pleased to offer our first American
Heart Association CPR/AED training course at St. Teresa
of Avila Parish. During this three-hour course, participants
learned many life-saving skills that will enable them to aid
their families, friends, and others in need.

Our next class will be on Saturday, August 10 from 9am to
12pm in the Parish Center. This is a comprehensive course
designed for the general public. The course teaches skills in
1 person CPR for adults and infants. It also includes
teaching choking rescue for adults and infants.  There will be an AED demonstration as well as First Aid
Instruction for various scenarios.

There is no written testing required for this class.
Registrants will receive a manual to take home and further
learn from. Registrants will receive Certification from the
American Heart Association.

The cost for the course is $70.00 per person. Checks
should be made payable to St. Teresa of Avila Parish and
payment is due at the time of registration. Class size is
limited to 6 people.

Please contact Gina in the Parish Office to register –
